This is a call for poetic contributions to the following theme: Poetic Glossary:
changing the world, one word at a time:
We are looking for words or
sayings that display love, respect, tolerance, honouring. This title would
include phrases that carefully, patiently, slowly, deliberately, and safely lead
others to see that positive, worthy, valuing thoughts are constructive; words
that encourage others to present and express who they are, how they feel, their
opinions, their dreams; or sayings that help others see themselves in a positive
light; an empowering vocabulary that either targets, lifts, and releases
negative thought or encourages others to dream; pieces that build healthy
dynamics or promote feelings of empowerment and self worth.
We encourage multicultural words or sayings. Non-English terms are encouraged. Does your culture have a word or phrase that that signifies that every
organism is part of a united whole? Can you contribute a word or saying in
another language and
write a poetic piece that explains the term? While the term should dictate the
poem's style and length, it is suggested that a suitable length is around
200 words and that the piece defines the term in a poetic way.
